Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment with one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market, designed specifically for people with thin, sagging skin.
Rather than simply plumping and filling wrinkles, Profhilo's slow release of HA stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving skin tone, hydration, and the appearance of fine lines. The end result is improved skin quality that lasts up to 6 months.
Profhilo is injected only into the upper layers of the skin and has a less dense, runnier consistency than dermal fillers. It also contains one of the highest levels of stabilized hyaluronic acid on the market. Profhilo is designed to energize and hydrate the skin while remodeling aging and sagging tissue, not to add volume. Profhilo, in addition to its high hyaluronic acid content, has a low inflammatory profile and pro-healing properties. Because Profhilo distributes evenly and smoothly without forming lumps, it can be used in difficult-to-treat areas such as the neck and forehead.
Profhilo is a hydrator rather than a filler because HA is hydrophilic, which means it draws and holds water from your body. This makes it ideal for those who have tired, dull-looking skin, as it transforms it into firm and luminous skin. This effect occurs within 3-5 days of treatment.
Over the next few weeks, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, resulting in skin tightening as a side effect. This is beneficial because collagen, elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid levels in the skin rapidly decline after the age of 30, resulting in signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and dull skin. Profhilo works to undo some of these changes. Profhilo usually has the greatest effect two months after the second treatment.
Although it is most commonly used on the face, it can also be used effectively on the neck, décolleté, arms, knees, and hands.

My go-to treatment for hydrated and tighter looking skin.
It evened out my skin tone.
Profhilo is easily metabolized and has no known long-term side effects because HA occurs naturally in the human body and the product does not use any synthetic chemicals.
The only known short-term side effects are bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection sites in a small percentage of people, which self-corrects within a couple of days.
We would advise against having a Profhilo treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as with most injectable treatments. It should also be avoided if you have a hyaluronic acid allergy.
Within three to five days, you should notice that your skin is becoming more hydrated and luminous. Profhilo will begin to stimulate your skin's collagen and elastin production over the next few weeks, resulting in a gentle skin tightening effect.
A second treatment will be required four weeks after the first. Profhilo's full effect is usually seen two months after the second treatment and should last for about six months. You can then opt for a follow-up treatment with Profhilo to keep the results.
Profhilo requires very little downtime. You should be able to resume your normal 'light' activities, including driving, after about 30 minutes here at drypSKin.
A Profhilo treatment will gently lift and tighten loose skin, producing a subtle, natural-looking but transformative effect. It's not as drastic as a surgical facelift, but Profhilo users love how radiant, smooth, and hydrated their skin looks and feels.
